GiveWP <= 2.25.3 - Authenticated (Admin+) PHP Object Injection
Strategic Overview
<= 2.25.3CVE-2023-32513Vulnerability Overview
The GiveWP plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to PHP Object Injection in versions up to, and including, 2.25.3 via deserialization of untrusted input via the $output['main_key'] value. This allows authenticated attackers, with administrative privileges, to inject a PHP Object that will deserialize upon a data export. No POP chain is present in the vulnerable plugin. If a POP chain is present via an additional plugin or theme installed on the target system, it could allow the attacker to delete arbitrary files, retrieve sensitive data, or execute code.
Technical Analysis
REMEDIATION: Update to version 2.26.0, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-502 (Deserialization of Untrusted Data) The product deserializes untrusted data without sufficiently ensuring that the resulting data will be valid.
