Vulnerability Overview

The Favicon by RealFaviconGenerator WordPress plugin through 1.3.20 does not sanitise or escape one of its parameter before outputting it back in the response, leading to a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) which is executed in the context of a logged administrator.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 1.3.21, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')) The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users.
