Vulnerability Overview

The events-manager plugin through 5.9.5 for WordPress (aka Events Manager) is susceptible to Stored XSS due to improper encoding and insertion of data provided to the attribute map_style of shortcodes (locations_map and events_map) provided by the plugin.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 5.9.6, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')) The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users.
