Vulnerability Overview

The Event Tickets and Registration plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Sensitive Information Exposure in all versions up to, and including, 5.8.2 via the RSVP functionality. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor access and above, to extract sensitive data including emails and street addresses.

Technical Analysis

REMEDIATION: Update to version 5.8.3, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-639 (Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key) The system's authorization functionality does not prevent one user from gaining access to another user's data or record by modifying the key value identifying the data.
