Vulnerability Overview

The Editorial Calendar plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to insecure direct object reference in versions up to, and including, 3.7.12. This is due to insufficient validation on a user controlled key. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with contributor-level capabilities and above to perform actions on objects they aren't intended to manipulate.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 3.8.0, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-639 (Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key) The system's authorization functionality does not prevent one user from gaining access to another user's data or record by modifying the key value identifying the data.
