Vulnerability Overview

The Responsive Pricing Table plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'table_currency' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 5.1.12 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

Technical Analysis

REMEDIATION: Update to version 5.1.13, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-80 (Improper Neutralization of Script-Related HTML Tags in a Web Page (Basic XSS)) The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as <, >, and & that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages.
