Vulnerability Overview

Cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerability in the Disable Comments plugin before 1.0.4 for WordPress allows remote attackers to hijack the authentication of administrators for requests that enable comments via a request to the disable_comments_settings page to wp-admin/options-general.php.

Technical Analysis

REMEDIATION: Update to version 1.0.4, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-352 (Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF)) The web application does not, or cannot, sufficiently verify whether a request was intentionally provided by the user who sent the request, which could have originated from an unauthorized actor.
