The Custom Post Type UI plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request forgery in versions up to, and including 1.7.3, due missing nonce validation on the import functionality that makes it possible for attackers to trick site administrators into performing unwanted actions such as importing new post types containing malicious web scripts.
Technical Analysis
REMEDIATION: Update to version 1.7.4, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-352 (Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF)) The web application does not, or cannot, sufficiently verify whether a request was intentionally provided by the user who sent the request, which could have originated from an unauthorized actor.
