Vulnerability Overview

Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in dex_reservations.php in the CP Reservation Calendar plugin before 1.1.7 for WordPress allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the (1) id parameter in a dex_reservations_calendar_load2 action or (2) dex_item parameter in a dex_reservations_check_posted_data action in a request to the default URI.

Reaching this weakness in CP Reservation Calendar < 1.1.7 takes a caller who can reach the endpoint. SQL injection happens when request data is concatenated into a query instead of being bound as a parameter, letting an attacker change the structure of the statement rather than just its values.

A working injection can read any table the database user can see, which on a WordPress install means user records, password hashes and session or API secrets stored in options. For CP Reservation Calendar the fix is 1.1.7: builds < 1.1.7 are affected, anything from 1.1.7 onward is not.

Update to version 1.1.7, or a newer patched version
