Vulnerability Overview

The Counter Box WordPress plugin before 1.2.1 is lacking CSRF check when activating and deactivating counters, which could allow attackers to make a logged in admin perform such actions via CSRF attacks

Technical Analysis

REMEDIATION: Update to version 1.2.1, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-352 (Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF)) The web application does not, or cannot, sufficiently verify whether a request was intentionally provided by the user who sent the request, which could have originated from an unauthorized actor.
