Vulnerability Overview

The Copymatic – AI Content Writer & Generator plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file uploads in all versions up to, and including, 1.6. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to upload arbitrary files on the affected site's server which may make remote code execution possible.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 1.7, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-434 (Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type) The product allows the upload or transfer of dangerous file types that are automatically processed within its environment.
