Vulnerability Overview

The Photos and Files Contest Gallery – Contact Form, Upload Form, Social Share and Voting Plugin for WordPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via headers in all versions up to 21.2.8.1 (exclusive) due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 21.2.8.1, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')) The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users.
