Vulnerability Overview

The ContentStudio plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass due to an unsecure token check that is susceptible to type juggling in versions up to, and including, 1.2.5. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to execute functions intended for use by users with proper API keys.

Technical Analysis

REMEDIATION: Update to version 1.2.6, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-639 (Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key) The system's authorization functionality does not prevent one user from gaining access to another user's data or record by modifying the key value identifying the data.
