Vulnerability Overview

The Chained Quiz plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized access due to a missing capability check on the finalize() function in all versions up to, and including, 1.3.2.8. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to answer quizzes that require logging in.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 1.3.2.9, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')) The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users.
