Woocommerce Category Banner Management <= 2.4.1 - Cross-Site Request Forgery
Strategic Overview
<= 2.4.1CVE-2023-39158Vulnerability Overview
The Woocommerce Category Banner Management plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in versions up to, and including, 2.4.1. This is due to missing nonce validation on the wcbm_save_shop_page_banner_data() function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to invoke this function and update shop banner page data via a forged request granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
Technical Analysis
