Vulnerability Overview

The Affiliate Super Assistent plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in versions up to, and including, 1.5.1. This is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on several functions such as the '_displayPreDispatcher', '_displayDispatcher', & '_displayTestPage' functions. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to perform many actions like updating plugin settings via a forged request, granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.

Technical Analysis

REMEDIATION: Update to version 1.5.2, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-352 (Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF)) The web application does not, or cannot, sufficiently verify whether a request was intentionally provided by the user who sent the request, which could have originated from an unauthorized actor.
