Vulnerability Overview

The SUMO Affiliates Pro plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file uploads due to missing file type validation in all versions up to, and excluding, 11.1.0. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to upload arbitrary files on the affected site's server which may make remote code execution possible.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 11.1.0, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-434 (Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type) The product allows the upload or transfer of dangerous file types that are automatically processed within its environment.
