Vulnerability Overview

The plugin ACF Quick Edit Fields for WordPress is vulnerable to Insecure Direct Object Reference in versions up to, and including, 3.2.2. This makes it possible for attackers without the edit_users capability to access metadata of other users, this includes contributor-level users and above.

Technical Analysis

REMEDIATION: Update to version 3.2.3, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-639 (Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key) The system's authorization functionality does not prevent one user from gaining access to another user's data or record by modifying the key value identifying the data.
