Vulnerability Overview

The About Author Box WordPress plugin before 1.0.2 does not sanitise and escape the Social Profiles field values before outputting them in attributes, which could allow user with a role as low as contributor to perform Cross-Site Scripting attacks.

REMEDIATION: Update to version 1.0.2, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')) The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users.
