Vulnerability Overview

The A2 Optimized WP plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross Site Request Forgery due to missing nonce validation on the 'admin_pagespeed_page' function in versions up to, and including 3.0.4. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to enable data collection by the plugin developer via a forged request granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.

Technical Analysis

REMEDIATION: Update to version 3.0.5, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-352 (Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF)) The web application does not, or cannot, sufficiently verify whether a request was intentionally provided by the user who sent the request, which could have originated from an unauthorized actor.
