Directory traversal vulnerability in the File_Upload_Upgrader class in wp-admin/includes/class-file-upload-upgrader.php in the upgrade package uploader in WordPress before 4.6.1 allows remote authenticated users to access arbitrary files via a crafted urlholder parameter.

REMEDIATION: Update to one of the following versions, or a newer patched version: 3.7.16, 3.8.16, 3.9.14, 4.0.13, 4.1.13, 4.2.10, 4.3.6, 4.4.5, 4.5.4, 4.6.1 --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-22 (Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal')) The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory.
