Vulnerability Overview

Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in wp-includes/pluggable.php in WordPress before 3.9.2, when Multisite is enabled, allows remote authenticated administrators to inject arbitrary web script or HTML, and obtain Super Admin privileges, via a crafted avatar URL.

REMEDIATION: Update to one of the following versions, or a newer patched version: 3.7.4, 3.8.4, 3.9.2 --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')) The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users.
