Vulnerability Overview

Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in wp-newblog.php in WordPress multi-user (MU) 1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the weblog_id parameter (Username field).

REMEDIATION: Update to version 1.1.1, or a newer patched version --- IDENTIFIER: CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')) The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users.
